Our Story

FARMore WA Nonprofit was founded in June 2018 with a deep-rooted commitment to safeguarding the livelihood of Washington State farmers and preserving the future of local food systems. We believe that food sovereignty is not only essential to our communities but also a shared responsibility that requires action today. Through our Farm Relief Fund, Sweat Equity, and volunteer programs, we actively support farmers while advancing food education and community engagement.

We proudly collaborate with farmers, local businesses, community members, and nonprofits to build enduring connections between urban and rural farm communities. Our shared connection to the land and each other drives everything we do, and together, we can ensure that fresh, sustainable food remains accessible for generations to come.

Initially founded under a different name, FARMore WA has evolved, rebranding to reflect a new era of expanded efforts. While we honor our beginnings with the farmers market that helped shape our vision, we are now a distinct entity focused on more comprehensive solutions to the challenges facing our agricultural community.

Our Initiatives:

  • Forge partnerships that matter—We actively seek out meaningful collaborations that extend our reach and deepen our impact.

  • Amplify through collaboration—By uniting our resources with others, we can drive greater change and ensure that farmers and communities alike thrive.

  • Build community through shared experience— Opening the door for people to participate from their own place of experience, expertise, and creativity.
